ACP Award!!!

The 2007-2008 Red Cedar Log just won its first award of the season, taking a First Class rating with 3 marks of distinction from the Associated Collegiate Press.

The marks of distinction were received in the following categories:

Writing and Editing
Photography, Art, Graphics, and Typography
Layout

The book received a better rating than the 2006-2007 book which won 4 awards. It received a First Class rating but only two marks of distinction.

We have one more step to go and that is to receive the highest ranking that the ACP awards, that is the status All American. We were very close to that title perhaps only 20 points away on a scale of 4,300 total points.

We will be aiming for the All American ranking and everyone on staff this year believes that it is within grasp.

Senior Portraits

Senior Portraits have been going amazing this year, we still have some sessions open for the fall semester here, from December 2nd-6th, got to ouryear.com and enter the school code 87158 to schedule an appointment.

If you didn't already know the senior portrait sessions are free for the sitting and will get you in the yearbook. If you are graduating between this semester through next summer get your portraits taken during this year to get into the 2008-2009 yearbook.

We haven't ironed out the dates yet but we will have another portrait session in the spring semester for those who can't make the December portraits or if they fill up completely. We are expecting to schedule them between late February and mid March. Check back in two weeks and we should have the dates available to schedule a session.
